City advises of electricity supply interruption in Duynefontein, Van Riebeeckstrand and surrounds

The City advises residents in parts of Duynefontein, Van Riebeeckstrand and Kleine Zoute Rivier Farms
of a planned upcoming critical electricity supply interruption for infrastructure repairs, which will be carried out on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, from 09:00 – 16:00, alternatively on Thursday, 22 January 2026, from 09:00 – 16:00.
The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential repairs are being carried out.
It is important to note that the interruption to supply will only impact the highlighted areas on the map and only on one of the relevant dates. The work will be carried out from 09:00 – 16:00 on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, alternatively on Thursday, 22 January 2026.
The following areas will be affected:
• Duynefontein
• Van Riebeeckstrand
• Kleine Zoute Rivier Farms

Please note:
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work.
Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
